Aquaponics Wins Competition at Univ of Pitt

In this article from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, we learn that a company named AquaCloud has won the prize for innovation at the University of Pittsburgh.

“The AquaCloud design allows aquaponic farmers to track in real time factors such as ammonia and pH levels so they do not reach harmful degrees.”

It is also interesting to note that it is now taken for granted that, “Aquaponics [will be] a billion-dollar agricultural industry by 2020.”
